1979: Unveiling the Kallista

In 1979, Vacheron Constantin unveiled the Kallista, a masterpiece named after the Greek word for ‘the most beautiful.’ 6,000 hours of work were needed to select and assemble 118 flawless diamonds totalling 130 carats. The most extraordinary and precious watch of its time, it redefined High Jewellery watchmaking. Today, its legacy continues with the Grand Lady Kalla, a versatile creation that transforms from wristwatch to necklace.
